Now retired from his career in Law Enforcement, Thomas also has an 8 year career in the United States Military and is a Combat Veteran 19Delta 20 Calvary Scout Recon Specialist. He was stationed in Germany after basic and AIT Training and during his tour of duty he was assigned to 3/12 Cav, 4/7 Air Cav and the 3rd ID Division 1/3 Acr where he received advanced training in weapons (SOVIET) and expanded his tactical abilities. Thomas was deployed to the Middle East during the 1st Gulf War where he helped to defend the United States from threats and oppression.
Thomas attended Point Park University where he studied Criminal Justice and Computer Forensics and then the University of Pittsburgh’s Graduate Program in Public Policy and Management with an emphasis in Security and Intelligence (MPPM). He is also a graduate of the Primary Leadership Course (PLDC), Basic Non-Commissioned Officers Course (BNCOC), was an adjunct instructor for Evers College where he taught Criminal Justice and Sociology and holds a number of certifications and has extensive training that include tactics, weapons, threat analysis, hostage negotiations, convoy protection and risk analysis to name a few.
After leaving the military, Thomas worked for the Department of Corrections, spending the better part of 10 years learning and executing security care custody and control and later worked for the Pennsylvania Parole Board as an agent.
